Life Cycle Manager Naval Underwater Weapons Systems (A000364)

This positions can be filled by either a Life Cycle Manager or a Senior Technician. Each of these positions has specific requirements as listed below.

Job description:

Working out of Ottawa you will be part of a team that is supporting Naval Underwater Weapons fitted aboard HIM Ships and Submarines .

Life Cycle Manager Requirements:

  1. A minimum of thirty-six (36) months of demonstrated hands-on experience, within the last seven (7) years, performing maintenance management activities of Naval underwater weapons systems onboard naval ships or submarines; or A minimum of thirty-six (36) months of demonstrated in-service experience, within the last seven (7) years, supporting NDHQ LCMM functions with Naval underwater weapons systems onboard HMCS ships or submarines;

  2. Civilian Trained Personnel Graduation from a two (2) year technical program offered by a recognized technical institute;--OR--Eligibility for registration as a technician by a recognized provincial licensing body;--AND—Minimum of thirty-six (36) months of demonstrated practical hands-on experience in a maintenance management related activity;--OR—Canadian Forces Trained PersonnelQualified to the QL6 trade level in a related technical field;

  3. Working knowledge of evaluation, preparation and implementation of technical documentation;

  4. Working knowledge of the preparation and distribution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation;

  5. Working knowledge of any DND environment Engineering and Maintenance Management System; and

  6. Working knowledge of maintenance system interfaces with the Canadian Forces Supply System (CFSS) and a DND financial/ managerial accounting system. (Working knowledge is defined as theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject matter required to successfully perform related duties and task efficiently and effectively.)

Senior technician Requirements:

  1. A minimum of twenty-four (24) months of demonstrated technical experience, in the last five (5) years, providing direct hands-on shipboard technical support of Naval Underwater Weapons Systems aboard HMCS Ships or submarines;

  2. Minimum of sixty (60) months of demonstrated experience providing services in a technical field within the last ten (10) years.
