Aeronautical Project Leader / Executive (A001446)

Our Federal government client has identified a need for an Aeronautical Project Leader / Executive with the following requirements:

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. A university degree from a recognized* academic institution in mechanical, electrical or aeronautical engineering – AND – a minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated work experience within the last twenty (20) years in the aerospace industry.
  2. A university degree from a recognized* academic institution in mechanical, electrical or aeronautical engineering – AND -- a professional certification (Engineering, Project Management, Business or Finance related fields) – AND -- a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated work experience within the last twenty (20) years in the aerospace industry.
  3. A minimum of three (3) years combined total of demonstrated experience within the last eight (8) years performing strategic business planning* to capture new aerospace business in a) commercial markets; and b) Canadian military markets; and c) International military markets. *Strategic business planning includes such activities as but is not limited to Return on Investment (RoI), optimized Basis of Payment for a specific scope of work, contract duration options, IP/Licence rights, partner alliance.
  4. A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience within the last five (5) years in the establishing or preparing a bid(s) in response to RFP(s) for performance-based commercial or military aerospace related contract(s) that included performance improvement and cost reduction incentives.
  5. A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience within the last five (5) years as part of a team involved in the negotiation and implementation of one or more Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) contracts. A PBL contract is defined as a contract with built-in elements which will incentivize the Contractor to improve performance and reduce cost via at least two of the following: pricing model, incentives, contract length, off-ramps, and work scope.
  6. A minimum of three (3) years combined total of demonstrated experience within the last ten (10) years in the aerospace industry providing the following services: Aircraft production engineering services; and Aircraft equipment repair and overhaul services. • Demonstrated experience within the last five (5) years in delivering one or more briefings on complex* business ventures to an audience external to the resource’s organization.
    * A complex business venture includes any long-term, performance-based in-service support arrangement between a service provider and a customer.
  7. The resource must hold a valid security clearance to the level of Secret issued by the CIISD/PWGSC.
